I am heart-broken to have to loan or sell my childhood pony, Poppy, who has taught me so much. This mare was a stunning show pony, show-jumper and pony club hunter from 2007 - 2013 but sadly outgrown she has been in a large heard of 20 horses for 3 years. Unfortunatly, with a full time job and studying I just don't have the time for her, and as a result she is becoming a little de-humanised.
She is a lovely natured pony, but can be very spirited, naughty to catch sometimes if she isn't wearing a head-collar. She is in perfect health, only a little overweight as most little ponies.
I am looking to put her out on a companion or 'pet' loan ONLY. Please no riders, as she has become so unaccustomed to riding that she is now behaves like a 2 year old if ridden. If you are looking to buy her, of course it is up to you if you want to bring her back into work, however I will not allow her to an inexperienced home.
To explain how naughty she can be:
She is actually quite well behaved when you're on her, however she will throw the odd buck in canter/gallop, usually out of excitement. Its after/before riding her you experience behavioural issues, such as 'mini rears,' snarling and general disdain for tack and the thought of it. If she was to be competing regularly again or ridden daily and jumped a lot, you may find she would return to her normal, amazing self, however
I am far too tall to ride her and unfortunately don't have enough time to train her.
This is a very sad loan/sale so please no time wasters. Thank you.
